  1. Scope

Casas a Sul – Helena da Ponte Unipessoal, Lda. (hereinafter referred to as this Entity or Casas a Sul) is a legal entity, and in the course of its business activity, it may be necessary to collect personal data from its clients/users. Considering the clients’ right to privacy, Casas a Sul does not collect any personal information without the prior consent of the data subjects.

Regarding the navigation and use of Casas a Sul's website by its users, data is collected through cookies to optimize and enhance the browsing experience. These cookies may or may not be stored on the user’s computer or device.

The purpose of this document is to clearly demonstrate the collection and use of these cookies, their purpose, and the protection of data collected during the website's use.

Although the entity is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO), it has internally appointed a DPO to handle matters related to Personal Data Protection.   1. Definition of Personal Data

Any information, in any form—written, magnetic, or digital—relating to the identification of a natural person or that may allow their identification.

  • Network and Systems Management: Monitoring, service support, remote support.
  • Registry Operators: Data management with operators such as ICANN, DNS.PT, EURID, among others, and data management in web service profiles.
  • Security and Control Management: Access logs, incident logs, physical and online security.
  • Backup Management: Backup policy, access, recovery, deletion, or overwriting.
  • Legal Obligations: Compliance with legal data transmission requirements.
  • Recruitment: Collection and processing of candidate personal data, not transmitted to third parties without prior consent.
  1. Data Transmission to Third Parties

As a rule, collected data is not shared with third parties unless legally required or strictly necessary for the activity.

Under GDPR, in the event of data transmission to third parties, the following procedures are followed: unequivocal information to the data subject of the reason for transmission, consent (except when legally required), ensuring confidentiality, security, and protection. Third parties must comply with GDPR/Privacy Shield requirements.

Data will only be retained for as long as necessary for the identified purpose or during the contract or commercial relationship. After that, they may be kept for up to 2 years for control purposes. Legal obligations related to tax or accounting information are retained for 10 years.

The data will be stored digitally on a server maintained and controlled by Casas a Sul. Security is constantly monitored. Access is restricted and protected by access management tools and encryption.

Data subjects have the right to access, rectify, object, erase, limit, or transfer their data in accordance with GDPR. For rights exercise, a written request must be submitted to Casas a Sul.

Data subjects may file complaints with the CNPD (National Data Protection Commission).
